Nita Ambani dances gracefully to ‘Shubhaarambh’ at Akash Ambani-Shloka Mehta’s engagement ceremony

Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani’s son Akash Ambani got engaged to Shloka Mehta yesterday. The Ambani family hosted the engagement ceremony that saw the who’s who of B-Town in attendance. Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar and others arrived for the ceremony.

Akash Ambani popped the question to girlfriend Shloka Mehta in March in the presence of their families in Goa. Akash and Shloka have been dating for over five years and will solemnize their relationship in December, this year.

The couple studied together in Dhirubhai Ambani International School and the Mehtas and Ambanis have been friends for years.

At the engagement ceremony yesterday, the couple looked lovely in traditional outfits. Akash dressed in a maroon traditional attire posed with Shloka, who donned a lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

Nita Ambani performed at the ceremony; she danced gracefully to Shubhaarambh from the film Kai Po Che. Nita Ambani’s dance performance was one of the highlights of the celebration.

The Ambani family will be hosting a party to celebrate Akash and Shloka on the 30th of this month and it will be hosted by none other than Shah Rukh Khan, as per a report in Filmfare. The who’s who of Bollywood is expected to attend Akash and Shloka’s engagement bash which will take place at the Ambani residence tomorrow.

The wedding will take place in Mumbai over 4-5 days at a five star hotel. The tentative dates are December 8-12, 2018.
