Katrina Kaif will be replacing Priyanka Chopra in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat after the latter walked out of the film, two days after the team started shooting for the movie. Katrina will be starring opposite Salman Khan in the movie which will mark the Tiger Zinda Hai reunion of Kaif, Khan and Zafar.

Katrina marked her presence at the Vogue Beauty Awards 2018 last night and when asked about starring in Bharat, the actress gushed, "Ali Abbas Zafar is a very dear friend of mine. We have worked together first in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and then we did Tiger Zinda Hai. Both of the films were extremely successful and more importantly, they were experiences which for me were wonderful and I really enjoyed working with him. When he contacted me, he said Katrina... he calls me Goldfish. He said, 'Goldfish, I'm gonna send you a script. Just react to me and tell me what you think.' I read the script and I thought it was an absolutely wonderful script. I was extremely excited about the character and very happy to be part of the film."

When Katrina was further quizzed on whether she was apprehensive on replacing Priyanka, the actress humbly replied, "The way that I have chosen my film has always been purely based on the script and what the character is. So, for me, it is extremely exciting to be working with the team again. It's a wonderful script and I completely love the character that I am playing."
