John Cena REVEALS his first conversation with Roman Reigns post shocking Leukemia revelation
John Cena spoke candidly about his first conversation with Roman Reigns after his shocking Leukemia revelation on Monday Night Raw. The Bumblebee actor was all praises for the WWE superstar and shared how he will always be happy to help him in anything.
It can be argued that, just like Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin and John Cena, Roman Reigns is the perfect prototype face of WWE. The former WWE Universal Champion and SHIELD member was all set to defend his title against The Beast Brock Lesnar and The Monster Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. But, in a shocking revelation during Monday Night RAW, Roman shared that he has been suffering from Leukemia for the past 11 years.
"My real name is Joe and I've been living with leukemia for 11 years and unfortunately, it's back. And because the leukemia is back I cannot fulfill my role, I can't be that fighting champion and I'm going to have to relinquish my Universal Championship," Roman had revealed breaking millions of hearts in the process. While promoting his upcoming release, Bumblebee, John Cena was asked about Roman's revelation and what his first conversation with him was. The WWE superstar stated that he texted Roman on the same day when he revealed his Leukemia diagnosis.
John revealed to Chris Van Vliet, "I texted him the day of the announcement just letting him know that he is in really good hands. He is part of a very exclusive fraternity. We all love him for what he’s done. We all respect the fact that he is taking care of his health which is first and foremost. I told him if he needs anything he knows where to find me."
"I know Joe. I know Joe’s a tough SOB. I don’t ever expect: ‘Hey man, I need this.’ I don’t ever expect to get that text, but if I do I think we have a mutual understanding that he knows it’s as good as done," Cena shared.
