Janhvi Kapoor on Sridevi’s sudden demise: I am still in shock; None of it has been processed

Sridevi’s demise was unexpected and the whole nation was in a state of shock. The actress had gone there to attend a family wedding and died of accidental drowning in the bathtub of her hotel room. 2018 was touted to be the year of Janhvi Kapoor as she was to make her Bollywood debut with Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak alongside Ishaan Khatter. Janhvi was still shooting for the film when her mother Sridevi left for heavenly abode. For a daughter, mother's support and guidance play a major role. 

The whole world changed around Janhvi, Khushi Kapoor and  Boney Kapoor. In a recent interview with Filmfare, Janhvi Kapoor was asked has she able to process her mother’s death. On this, Janhvi said she is still in the state of shock and she doesn’t remember anything of those four months. “I think, I was still in that state of shock, to be very honest. I think I am still in shock. None of it has been processed. Like, I have no memory of three or four months,” Janhvi said.

Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor became the pillars of strength to sisters Janhvi and Khushi in the tough phase. When asked about it, Janhvi said, “You know at the end of the day, we have the same blood in us. I don't remember anything of those four months but I do remember that one day when we were sitting in Harsh (Anil Kapoor's son) Bhaiya's room and Arjun Bhaiya and Anshula (Arjun Kapoor's sister) Didi came in -- I think that was the one day when I felt like, 'Ok maybe we might be okay’.” 

Janhvi made an appearance with Arjun Kapoor on Koffee With Karan 6. On the work front, Arjun Kapoor has wrapped up India’s Most Wanted and Janhvi will next be seen in Karan Johar’s Takht.
