Janhvi Kapoor on the most special compliment she has received: Arjun Bhaiya told me my performance was honest
Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for her Bollywood debut. In an interview to a news channel, Janhvi revealed that she will always remember Arjun Kapoor's compliment.
Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for her Bollywood launch. Her debut film, Dhadak which is the remake of the Marathi superhit film, Sairat will release on July 20, 2018.
Janhvi has returned to the city after enjoying a holiday with family in London after the trailer launch of the film. She has started promoting the film with co-star Ishaan Khatter.
In an interview to Mumbai Tak, Janhvi talked about nepotism, mom Sridevi, her favorite actors and compliments her family gave her.
When asked about a special compliment she’ll remember all her life, Janhvi said, “Arjun Bhaiya ne actually jab who mujhse mile unhone bola k aisa lag raha hai k aapne honest kaam kiya hai, koi heroine ki acting nahi kar rahe, aap honestly aapka kirdaar nibhane ki koshish kar rahe hai. Main bahut khush hui ye sun ke. (Arjun Kapoor told me that I have done an honest job in the film and that I am not trying to act like a heroine. She said that Arjun Kapoor told her that she has performed honestly and that she was extremely happy to hear that)”
Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor have been Janhvi and Khushi’s pillar of strength after Sridevi’s tragic demise. Arjun had even taken to his social media account to encourage and support Janhvi. After the trailer launch, Arjun had posted, “@janhvikapoor, today starts a new and a beautiful journey! You are amazing and so is @ishaan95 ! Both of you are magical in the #Dhadaktrailer…Only love for you both! All the very best to the whole team”
