At Hiroo Johar's 75th birthday bash, Sonu Nigam enthralled the guests with melodious tracks. He made the guests participate as he crooned iconic songs. Celebrated actor Waheeda Rahman and Javed Akhtar who has penned songs for many Dharma Productions’ joined him on stage.
Karan Johar hosted a birthday bash for mother Hiroo Johar on her 75th birthday. Karan hosted it at a banquet hall of a suburban five star hotel. Hiroo Johar’s friends like Lalli Dhawan, Waheeda Rahman and others were present for the celebrations.
Sonu Nigam enthralled the guests with melodious tracks. He made the guests participate as he crooned iconic songs. Celebrated actor Waheeda Rahman and Javed Akhtar who has penned songs for many Dharma Productions’ joined him on stage. Sonu Nigam also made Hiroo Johar sing a few lines. Waheeda Rahman sang ‘Gata Rahe Mera Dil’ from Guide whereas Javed Akhtar and Sonu Nigam crooned to ‘Tumhi Dekho Na’ from Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. Karan Johar also joined them on stage. All the other guests definitely enjoyed this karaoke session.

About the party, a source had earlier informed a leading daily, “He will be hosting a brunch at a 5-star on Sunday and plans to decorate the venue as well as their residence with different kinds of flowers as his mother is fond of flowers.The menu at the party will comprise of the best of Chinese and Indian cuisine. Karan is also planning a surprise for the cake-cutting ceremony beside shopping for presents."
Karan had also invited his close friends and family for a grand bash. Karan’s close friends Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Manish Malhotra, Kajol and others arrived for the bash.
