The new song titled Monobina from Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy starrer Gold is out. This is the fourth song to be released after Naino Ne Baandhi, Chad Gayi Hai and Ghar Layenge Gold. In the song, Akshay Kumar is seen raising a toast with his hockey team so as to get prepared to get a Gold medal at the Olympics. The song gives a glimpse that no matter how happy the occasion is, the priority is to see a free-India getting international acclamation for Gold.
Monobina song gives us major retro feels as Akshay grooves with jazz girls along with his Bengali Babu twist. His onscreen wife Mouni, who as seen in the earlier song Chad Gayi Hai is equally embarrassed with her husband here also. But later she gives in and makes sure to enjoy the jazz night the way Akshay is seen enjoying by singing and dancing. The song is a multilingual track with English, Hindi and even Bengali which is hummed by Mouni.

Talking about Monobina, the song is sung by Yasser Desai, Shashaa Tirupati, Monali Thakur and Farhad Bhiwandiwala. The music is composed by Tanishk Bagchi while the lyrics are penned by Vayu. Gold is directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The film is slated to release on the occasion of Independence Day i.e., August 15, 2018.
In the film, Akshay plays the role of Tapan Das, a young assistant manager in 1936, who dreams of playing for an independent nation.
