Deepika Padukone turns 33 today and it's her first birthday after her wedding with Ranveer Singh. The Padmaavat actress has managed to make heads turn with her professional life as well as with her personal life. Her wedding with Ranveer Singh was one of the most awaited events of 2018. Their first official photos broke the internet and both of them gave us a glimpse of what true love looks like. Professionally, we saw Deepika Padukone make her way into our hearts with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat.
The last year was extremely special for her, and today, as Deepika turns 33, she will be celebrating the special occasion with husband, Ranveer Singh. In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, DP shared her birthday plans with Ranveer Singh. She said, “It’s gonna be very very special because it's much needed break combined with honeymoon combined with the first birthday, so it’s all of these things combined and hopefully.. Also the celebration of the success of Simmba. So, it’s all like, we’re looking forward to it, but I feel like we have one big task ahead of us, which is on Friday (with the release of Simmba). So, the holiday is not really on our minds right now. The film is and we’ll think about the holiday after that.”

Talking about work front, Deepika will next be seen portraying the role of the acid-attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal in Meghna Gulzar’sChhapaak. The movie is based on the life of Laxmi whose case exemplifies the law and order situation in the country. The film will also star Vikrant Massey and Deepika openly welcomed her co-actor on Twitter. The movie will go on the floors soon after Deepika returns from her holiday with Ranveer Singh.
