The teaser of Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor's Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is out and it will give all the romantic feels. It's like a breath of fresh air. The film also stars Juhi Chawla and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. The teaser opens with the song from Anil Kapoor's 1942: A Love Story and then you have 2018's 'Syappa' love story.
You see Sonam saying, "Love story mein koi na koi syappa toh hota he hota hai, nahi toh feel kaise aayegi." This is the first time that Sonam and dad Anil will be sharing screenspace. You will fall in love with the glimpses that are shown of the two in the teaser.
It will also be interesting to see Rajkummar Rao and Sonam pairing up for the first time. The film is also reunion for hit onscreen jodi of Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla. The two will be reuniting on the silver screen after 11 years. Their last cinematic outing was the romantic drama, Salaam-E-Ishq, where they played a husband and wife.
The song Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, from the film 1942: A Love Story, has been recreated as well.
"Yes, we are recreating the original and we want to replicate its iconic status. It's hard to beat the original so I will be happy if we are at par with it. However, we'll have to wait and see who sings the new version and for whom in the film," Director Shelly Chopra Dhar had once told Mumbai Mirror.
Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is scheduled to release on October 12th 2018.
