Bal Thackeray Biopic Trailer: Nawazuddin Siddiqui epitomised Thackeray the Maratha Moghul in its true sense

The much awaited trailer of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s movie based on the life of politician Bal Thackeray is out and we have to say, his stark resemblance with the Maratha Moghul is truly unmissable. Take a look.

One of the much awaited trailers, Thackeray, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the Shiv Sena Head Balasaheb Thackeray, was released today. The movie is a biopic based on the life of Balasaheb Thackeray who was a very respectable politician. The teaser had surely given us a glimpse into Bal Thackeray’s life and the massive crowd of followers he used to address at Shivaji Park. But, the trailer surely epitomises the politician in an unadulterated sense.

Directed by Abhijeet Panse, Thackeray delves into the depth of Balasaheb’s life and his journey to the top. The movie is written by Rajya Sabha MP & Shiv Sena’s spokesperson Sanjay Raut. The teaser was unveiled by Bal Thackeray’s son, Uddhav Thackeray and superstar Amitabh Bachchan. With Thackeray, Sanjay Raut is also turning a producer. Nawazuddin had also shared the teaser earlier on Twitter and had written, “an honour and pride to portray the Real King of the Country on Screen.” In the trailer, we get to see one of the best performances by Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Doesn’t that leave you awestruck? Apart from Nawazuddin, we get to see actress Amrita Rao playing the role of Bal Thackeray’s wife, Meena Tai Thackeray. In the trailer, we get to see Bal Keshav Thackeray's journey right from the start. Nawaz as Thackeray is convincing and surely portrays the mindset of the man who stood for his people. The trailer also delves into the court case against him related to Babri Masjid riots. Lastly, towards the end, we get to see Bal Thackery's love for the country in the dialogue where he says to the cricketer that his batting wasn't that good and makes him forget the death of the Indian soldiers. Overall, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is able to bring alive on screen one of the strongest politicians of the country. The movie is scheduled to release close to Bal Thackeray’s 93rd birthday, i.e. January 25, 2019.
