Asha Bhosle on Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha's Ittefaq: I am happy that my song Raat Baaki is being used again
Sonakshi Sinha and Sidharth Malhotra have recreated the iconic song Raat Baaki Baat Baaki sung by Asha Bhosle.
Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha are all set to entice their fans with their upcoming film, Ittefaq. Going by the trailer, we can expect a roller-coaster ride and it has all the elements of a dark thriller film - mystery and deceit. Just recently, the first song of the film Raat Baaki was released by the filmmakers and fans have been going gaga over the song.
Sonakshi and Sidharth have recreated the iconic song Raat Baaki Baat Baaki sung by Asha Bhosle, Bappi Lahiri and Shashi Kapoor from the film Namak Halal. The new version is similar to the original track but with some changed lyrics. It has been sung by Jubin Nautiyal and Nikita Gandhi. The song does take you down the memory lane.
Today, Sidharth and Sonakshi shared Asha Bhosle's comments on the new song and she is elated with the fact the film has used her iconic song. While sharing the video, Sid wrote, "Asha Ma’am & her music are everlasting! Excited that she loves our version of #IttefaqSe. Thank You @ashabhosle #IttefaqNov3." Sona captioned the video as, "Asha Tai @ashabhosle, we can’t thank you enough for your blessings :) #IttefaqSe #IttefaqNov3."
Ittefaq is a remake of the 1969 Yash Chopra directorial of the same name. During the trailer launch, the Dabangg actress had said that she has not seen the original film. She added, "The way the film is rewritten and adapted to fit in today’s scenario and time makes it a fresh film. I am looking at it as a new film."
Directed by Abhay Chopra and produced by Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment, Ittefaq is slated to release on November 3.
