Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta got engaged today in a traditional ceremony at the Ambani residence. Isha Ambani welcomed the couple by performing a ritual.
Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta got engaged today in a traditional ceremony at the Ambani residence. While photos of the couple are doing the rounds on social media, we came across a video of Isha Ambani welcoming brother Akash and to be sister-in-law Shloka Mehta.
Isha was seen performing the welcome rituals and the couple looked regal decked in tradition outfits. The rituals were performed by playing a ceremonial Gujarati song to add to the cheer of the family. While we saw the sister trouble her brother and playfully pull his leg while spraying holy water on him, we also saw her reflex reaction when Shloka paid respects to her.

Isha Ambani and Shloka Mehta are close friends. At the pre-engagement bash, Shloka had said that she is best friends with Shloka and her sister Diya.
The engagement saw a lot of Bollywood celebrities who came to congratulate the couple. Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar and other celebrities graced the engagement ceremony of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta today.
While there is no official date announced for the wedding, reports suggest that the wedding will be a five day long affair in December this year. Isha Ambani may also tie the knot this year. She got engaged to long-time boyfriend Anand Piramal earlier this year. Engagement ceremony of Isha and Anand was hosted by the Ambani family last month.
