5 Weddings Trailer: Rajkummar Rao and Nargis Fakhri look fresh and promising
Rajkummar Rao has stepped into Hollywood and Nargis Fakhri is all set to make a comeback with the Hollywood film 5 Weddings. Nargis plays an American journalist and Rajkummar plays a cop. The trailer of the film was released on June 5.
Rajkummar Rao has time and again proved his mettle as an actor in the film industry. He is not scared of experimenting with his movies and tries new roles everytime he appears on the screen.
Now, he has gone one step further and is set to star in a Hollywood movie titled 5 Weddings. He is paired alongside Nargis Fakhri in the movie. 5 Weddings is directed by Namrata Singh Gujral.
The trailer was dropped on June 5. The film is set in the United States and India. Nargis Fakhri plays the role of an American journalist, who has to come to India to write an article about Indian Weddings, and Rajkummar plays a cop, who is assigned to escort her.
Nargis is an NRI who knows nothing about India but is compelled to undertake the task of getting a promotion at work. She comes to Punjab accompanied by Rajkummar.
While attending an Indian wedding, she has an encounter with transgenders who have come to dance in the wedding as a ritual.
Rajkummar does not allow her to talk to them. This intrigues Fakhri and things take a turn after that. She embarks on a journey of telling the story of the transgenders to the entire world.
Amidst all this, she and Rao fall in love with each other, which adds to the romantic aspect of the film.
The background score in the trailer gives a typical Punjabi feel. The trailer looks quite fresh and promising.

The film is set to release on September 21. It also stars Golden Globe nominee Bo Derek and Academy Award-nominee Candy Clarke.
Nargis Fakhri was last seen in 2016 in the movie Banjo. On the other hand, Rajkummar has an interesting line-up for the future with films like Mental Hai Kya and Fanne Khan, while his last film Omerta had been a hit among the audience.
