Shubh Mangal Saavdhan trailer: Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar give a quirky take on erectile dysfunction

The trailer of Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is out.

The trailer starts with Ayushmann and Bhumi's dad visiting a doctor and talking about how the couple got physical a few days before their marriage which did not go well with her dad.

Then, it is shown how love blossomed between Ayushmann and Bhumi, and they get engaged. 

But there's a secret about Ayushmann, which eventually Bhumi gets to know. When they get physical, Ayushmann rushes to the washroom and doesn't come out for a long time.

And Bhumi, reluctantly asks him about being impotent and he is dumbfounded to her question. The movie deals with a guy being impotent and girl despite all the odds accepting him.

The film looks like a roller-coaster ride of emotions fun and more.

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan marks the reunion of Dum Laga Ke Haisha couple Ayushmann and Bhumi after two years.

Directed by R S Prasanna and produced the Aanand L. Rai, the film is slated to release on September 1, 2017.

In an interview, director RS Prasanna said, “I wouldn’t say it is a complete remake of KSS. It is an entirely new film with the same basic theme and soul. ‘Spiritual remake’ is the correct word for it. We will soon come out with the official announcement about the cast and the crew.”

He also feels that collaborating with filmmaker Aanand L Rai is an achievement. He added, “I figured that even if the film didn’t materialize, getting a chance to sit and discuss it with Aanand L Rai sir itself was a success. It was a great experience working with him.”
