Katrina Kaif was in two places at one time, at the recently concluded IIFA 2017 awards.
We saw Katrina Kaif shine at the recently concluded IIFA 2017 Awards ceremony in New York City. The speciality of the event was that it was aired live on a popular channel. However a certain incident of Katrina Kaif and Shahid Kapoor has got Twitteratti all worked up.
Now, we know that Shahid Kapoor won the Best Actor award for his performance in the critically acclaimed movie Udta Punjab. And to present the very prestigious award, guess who was called to the stage? It was none other than the birthday girl, Katrina Kaif. However, while watching the show live, you may have noticed Ms Kaif, sitting right next to Shahid, while she was also up on the stage, announcing the award. Well, what do you think of that? Twin trouble or bad editing?
On a more positive note, Katrina looked like a real-life princess in the grey Snow Crystal Forest gown by Ziad Nakad with detailed embellishments. We would never mind two Katrinas any day, would we?
Many Bollywood stars shone at the award ceremony. The big awards were bagged by Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor. Katrina gave away the award to Shahid (sort of), while Varun Dhawan announced Alia as the Best Actor - Female at the event, held at the Metlife Stadium.
The Best Picture honour went to Neerja, based on the real life story of Neerja Bhanot, an air hostess who lost her life while trying to save others on a hijacked flight at Karachi.
Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury walked away with the Best Direction award for Pink, a hard-hitting drama which put forth the message that when a woman says no, it is a no.
