Poorna Official Trailer: Rahul Bose's movie is inspiring and gripping!
Here is the trailer of Rahul Bose's directorial venture Poorna, based on Poorna Malavath, who climbed the Everest at the age of 13.
It is raining biopics in Bollywood. After Dangal, Neerja, Sarbjit, Azhar, Dhoni: The Untold Story, and Aligarh, among others, Bollywood is all set to treat cinema-lovers with its next biopic, Poorna, directed by Rahul Bose.
While the trailer will send shivers down your spine, we marvel at the after-effect of the movie. But after watching the trailer, a passing reference of Poorna as Slumdog Mountaineer, immediately reminded us of Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire. Don't be shocked if this movie, like Danny Boyle’s masterpiece, receives critical and commercial success.
From the first to the last scene, we were hooked to the trailer, but the last scene of Poorana hanging atop Mount Everest, is surely worth the wait. A leading daily quoted Rahul as saying, “Poorna is astonishing, single-minded and determined. She thought of only two things when she reached the summit- “Sir”, her mentor, RS Praveen Kumar, and all the tribal girls who could now hope to reach great heights. In the film, she is being played by Aditi Inamdar, also from Telengana.”
Poorna is a biopic of the youngest girl in history to climb Mount Everest, Poorna Malavath. At 13, Poorna Malavath climbed the Everest and this movie traces Poorna’s journey from her small hut in Telengana to Bhongir Fort to Darjeeling and Sikkim, to Nepal and finally, to the top of Mount Everest. Directed by Rahul Bose, the film features Rahul Bose, who plays the role of Dr. Praveen Kumar and Aditi Inamdar, who essays the role of Poorna.
