Watch: The trailer of Konkona-Ratna starrer Lipstick Under My Burkha shows many shades of female desires
The trailer of Lipstick Under My Burkha is out. The film has an ensemble cast of Konkona Sensharma, Ratna Pathak Shah, Aahana Kumra, Plabita Borthakur, Sushant Singh, Vikrant Massey, Shashank Arora and many more.
The movie surrounds around four women who are chasing their dreams in an unconventional way without revealing their real identity. Konkona plays the role of an oppressed housewife and a mother of three. She lives the alternate life of an enterprising saleswoman. Ratna is seen as a 55-year-old widow who rediscovers her sexuality by indulging into phone romance.
Plabita will be seen as a college girl who struggles with the issues of cultural identity and also has aspirations to become a pop singer. Whereas Aahana, a young beautician wishes to elope with her lover and wants to escape the claustrophobia of her small town.
This seems to be a very interesting concept which shows women in a different and rebellious manner.
