Nation comes first, there's no compromise on that - Riteish & Sajid react to ban on Pak artists
There have been talks on the recent Uri attacks and the ban on Pakistani artists on working in Bollywood. Lots of B-Town celebs have condemned the attacks and also opinionated about the ban made on the Pak artists.
Today, at the press meet event of Yaaron Ki Baraat, the hosts Riteish Deshmukh and Sajid Khan were asked about the recent attacks and the ban, to which Sajid first said, "We are at a state of war. We are proud Indians. And, we have to respect our nation. Our nation comes first. So, if Pakistani actors have to go back, they should go back. I am with my country like any other Indian."
Riteish stated about it saying, "Jab bhi desh ki baat aati hai, India comes first, there's no compromise on that. I think Uri attacks ke baad jo bhi response hamari army ne and PM Modi ji ne kiya hai. Mujhe lagta hai pure desh ke saath main bhi usse support karta hoon. It was a great response and aise hi hona chahiye. It was the correct way to respond."
He further added, "We are an amazing country and a democratic nation too. Ek insaan ko apna mat rakhne ke liye uska adhikaar hai. Woh jo bhi soche, that's his right."
The Masti actor concluded by saying, "Agar yeh socha jaata. It's a response right, the government has made a response of attacking them right, which was great everyone has supported, we have supported. Jo bhi relationship hai, India-Pakistan cricket match ho, trade ho, agar woh unilaterally se decide kare ki yeh sab kaatne se aur pressure bad sakta hai. Agar yeh sab karne ke baad result mil sakta hai, to we should support and we will support. We are the citizens of this country and as Sajid said, India first and there's no compromise on that."
