Alia and Varun are currently busy filming Badrinath Ki Dulhania and were recently spotted in Gorakhpur. However, the actors weren’t there for the shoot but turned up for a social cause.

The duo today inaugurated the Indian Gramin Cricket League (IGCL) in the city amid a lot of enthusiasm and warm welcome from the locals.

Alia took to Instagram to post a pic of herself along with Varun from the event and captioned it as “Today in Gorakhpur a lovely initiative called IGCL great to see the youth so charged and passionate about cricket all over. #badrinathkidulhania.”

Donning a white and black top teamed with denims and sunnies, the 23-year-old actress looked as lovely as ever.

Varun in a casual t-shirt and jeans appeared to be handsome. The 29-year-old actor was also seen addressing the crowd in a video he posted on social media.

The clip shows the Dishoom star encouraging the young generation to pursue sports and education, while we can see the star-struck crowd cheering on.

Quite a charged up crowd we must say!

Got the oppurtunity to spend some time in gorakhpur. We met a lot of talented kids. Had a lot of fun at the #igcl match. The league encourages kids to play sports rather then take up a life of crime.
