Y-Films, the youth wing of Yash Raj Films have impressed everyone with the web series aired on their YouTube channel. Now, they have come up with one more show titled Sex Chat with Pappu & Papa. This five-part fiction show is a unique show based sex education in India.
Starring veteran actor Sachin Pilgaonkar along with Anand Tiwari, Kabir Sajid, Sanjeeda Shaikh and Alka Amin, the show will be delivering information across different themes about sex and sexuality. The debutant director Ashish Patil talked about this innovative format stating, "The 2nd most populated country in the world, in spite of being the home of texts and temples such as the Kamasutra & Khajuraho… sex is still a very taboo topic in India. Most parents clam up when having to talk to kids about the 'birds & the bees'. Sex education is not even provided in most schools. And when done - not appropriately curated or delivered. Misinformation or lack of information cause further confusion and problems. Which is why you have 40-year old men writing into sex columns asking if they’ll go blind if they masturbate! Research clearly shows that sex talk with parents is directly linked to safer sexual behavior. This is our attempt to bring this important conversation out of the closet. So come on, let’s talk about sex, baby!"
