Watch: CINTAA's Amit Behl Apologises to Rakhi As She Threatens to Kill Herself
Shortly after Pratyush Banerjee’s suicide Rahi Sawant made a few statements about how ceiling fans need to be banned as they are the reason for suicides. As expected, she found herself in a soup courtesy these comments. In fact, things became so bad that CINTAA Joint secretary Amit Behl threatened to ban her . Moreover, he also blamed her for using the tragedy to gain publicity.
Now, in a surprising turn of events, Amit has apologized for his remarks.
“It is my fault. I apologise to Dolly Bindra and Rakhi Sawant. I should have discussed matters with them before issuing statements. I am sorry if my remarks hurt their reputation” he added.
While accepting the apology Rakhi said that the remarks had harmed her reputation. Moreover, she also stressed that they had affected her mother’s health.
“I have been in the industry for 15 years. Pratyusha was my friend. I was shocked by what happened. They called it a publicity stunt. CINTAA threatened to ban me. This harmed my reputation. Even my mother got worried and had to be hospitalized” she added.
