Throwback Thursday: Juhi Sings KHNH's Title Track, Leaves Karan, Sushmita Stunned!
Actress going behind the mic and singing Bollywood numbers has been a trend these days. Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and now Parineeti Chopra, all have exercised their vocal chords and stunned us with their singing prowess.
However, the fact that an actress can sing was a shocking revelation decade back. While we have all loved Juhi Chawla as an actor, not many know she has been a wonderful singer too. And this video of Juhi crooning Kal Ho Naa Ho's title track at an award function in 2004 proves our point.
In this video that we came across, Karan Johar and Juhi Chawla are seen hosting an awards night in Dubai, where the former insists latter to sing a song. And as KJo prepares to shut his ears and stand in a corner, Juhi begins singing in her soulful voice, much to the surprise of the audience. She hums two lines from Karan's film Kal Ho Naa Ho leaving him as well as actress Sushmita Sen stunned.
And believe it or not, this scene reminded us of Karan's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai where Rani Mukerji leaves SRK and Kajol almost jaw-dropped with her singing! Remember?
