The Neerja Team has a Big Reason to Rejoice and Here's Why
It was just a few days ago that Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja—which is based on the life of the late flight purser Neerja Bhanot—opened to a thurderous response at the box office while receiving rave reviews. Now, it seems that there is some more good news in store for the people associated with this hard-hitting biopic. In a heartwarming development, Neerja’s brothers Akhil Bhanot and Aneesh Bhanot recently praised the film’s team for keeping alive their sister’s dignity.
“The Bhanot family would like to extend our gratitude to Ram Madhvani, Atul Kasbekar and the entire team. They had promised us that they wold keep the dignity of Neerja alive. And that is exactly what they have done”, they stated
For the uninitiated, Neerja Bhanot was killed in 1986 while trying to save passengers from terrorists who had hijacked the Pan Am flight. She was merely 22 at the time of her demise.
