Watch: Sonu Nigam's Single on Transgenders Gives You Food for Thought
It is perhaps because of his tremendous vocal range and melodious voice that Sonu Nigam has over the years established himself as one of the most celebrated names of Bollywood. Moreover, he also crooned in quite a few regional languages such as Marathi, India and Kannada to name a few.
And now in a commendable development he has done something which proves that he is gem of person in real-life. Sonu recently collaborated with India’s first transgender music group the Six Pack Band and released a single titled Sab Rab De Bande.
Composed by Shameer Tandon, it highlights the challenges faced by transgenders and emphasizes on the need to respect them. Moreover, it also demands equality for them and states that all of us are creations of the almighty hence any discrimination is unjustified. Needless, to say the video's visuals and meaningful lyrics will give you plenty to think about. Now that is what we call the power of music! On a related note, if all goes as planned, a reprise version of Sab Rab De Bande will be released pretty soon.
