Watch: Team Airlift Shares Real Life Stories of War Survivors in Series of Videos

Based on the 1990’s evacuation of Indians in Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war, Airlift, starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur is set to release this Friday, Jan 22. Helmed by Raja Menon, the team Airlift has now managed to get to a few real people who were involved in the operation. On the basis of their personal account, one could get the clear picture of what happened during the war.The Airlift team, in a conscious effort, has released a few videos featuring the real people.

Videos featuring Moortuza Borsadi and Joanita Figredo have been released on the Youtube, documenting the survival journey of the war residents. The videos also show them recalling the shocking incident and their sufferings. Borsadi was 15 years old back then and Figredo was a nurse in Jara hospital  at the Iraq-Kuwait Border during the bombing time done by Iraq on Kuwait at 1st Gulf War in 1990. Air India holds the Guinness Book of World Records for the most people evacuated by a civil airline as a result of this effort. It is believed to be the largest civilian evacuation in history.
