Watch: A Capella Medley Treat for Maestro AR Rahman on his 49th Birthday!
The magic musician, Oscar winning music maestro has turned 49 today! And AR Rahman couldn’t have got a better birthday gift from his fans. Mumbai-based all-vocal ensemble Voctronica has a special treat for Rahman, with the video, 'Evolution of AR Rahman.' The video features Rahman's most loved songs in a five-minute medley. Songs from Roja, Bombay, Rangeela, Slumdog Millionaire, Rang De Basanti and several Tamil numbers have been performed without the use of musical instruments! The video is a befitting gift to the world-renowned music director, who has been featured in Times Magazine in 2009 among the ‘World’s 100 Most Influential People’ and has given B-town and Tamil/Telugu industry some of the best music in last two decades.
Rahman also took time out to thank all his fans and well-wishers on the occasion. In a special message he shared on social media, the music director said he wanted to make more beautiful music. He shared, “To my dearest friends, fans, family and well-wishers... Thank you for your kind birthday wishes, prayers and affection. You inspire me to work harder and make even more beautiful music. Luckily I am not yet 50! May the Almighty keep us all united, keep our hearts pure and compassionate. Let us make the world a beautiful place with connected wisdom, love and care.”
