Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar shared their memories from the shoot of Karan Johar’s directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai at the celebratory bash hosted to celebrate the film. It has been two decades since the film released and the characters of Rahul, Anjali and Tina are forever etched in fans’ minds. The film’s music too became extremely popular, so did the looks of the lead cast. The film’s entire cast attended the event. Twinkle Khanna, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Abhishek Bachchan graced the event.
Shah Rukh Khan arrived with Gauri Khan and son AbRam Khan for the bash. He shared that it was the first time AbRam has come with him to a film event and he is happy that his introduction to films is Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. He also shared an anecdote about Kajol losing her memory for a short period of time during the film’s shoot. Shah Rukh also mentioned that his children Aryan and Suhana Khan have seen the movie, but AbRam has not.
He said, “Now I find it quite creepy actually specially the scene where I am hugging one girl and holding the other and lustfully and very cheaply looking at this girl whose saree’s pallo flies off, very creepy.It’s quite wrong.”
Karan added, “It is objectification, it’s wrong.”
Karan also mentioned how the whole philosophy of Shah Rukh’s character Rahul about getting married and falling in love only once was fraudulent.
