After 27 years, the hit jodi of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor is finally back on the silver screen with Umesh Shukla’s 102 Not Out. The makers have shared the teaser and we wouldn't deny the fact that it's an unusual love story of a father and son. Bachchan plays the role of a 102-year-old man who son is Rishi who is 75.
The one-minute long teaser of the ageless comedy (as the director told us yesterday) is full of fun and zest. You see the two sharing both light and sad moments together. Their camaradrie in the teaser is too adorable to be ignored. You will Amitabh playing a saxophone and football. A childlike innocence is there in both Big B and Rishi's characters.
The high point of the teaser is when Amitabh says to son Rishi - "Ek putra ko vriddha aashram bhejne wala mai duniya ka pehla baap banunga! (I would be the first father of the world who will send his son to an old age home.)"

Yesterday, when we met the director, we asked if it was challenging to get the two senior actors onboard after so many years, he told us, "Yes, it was but it was fun shooting with both of them. I first went to Amitabh sir and told him the story and also added that he will play of the father and then came the point where we had to find the actor who can play the role of son. First name that came to my head was Rishi Kapoor. He too liked the story. I would say that the film is a ageless story."
Talking about project and his reunion with Rishi Kapoor on the silver screen, Amitabh Bachchan said, "Teaming up with Chintu Ji (Rishi Kapoor) after so many successful historic films, has been the greatest joy. A novel story, competent direction and the most qualified crew, has made the experience of 102 Not Out even greater."
He also added, "I know the country loves the younger, fresh and vibrant new generation, as must it should deservedly, but whoever said the ‘oldies’ are not capable to do the similar, we know if given a chance we shall not disappoint you either, that is as immodest as I can get. BADUMBAAAAAAAAA!"
