Rishabh Pant who was included in the Indian squad in the middle of the tournament in his first World Cup tournament missed his half century against Bangladesh by just two runs. Rishabh showed immense confidence in his batting as he smashed three back to back fours in a crucial stage of the innings. Pant smashed a brilliant 48 runs of only 41 deliveries with a strike rate of 117.07 before losing his wicket to Shakib Al Hasan in the 44th over of the innings.

However, former Indian cricketer who played a major role in India’s 2011 World Cup triumph, Yuvraj Singh praised the 21 year old cricketer. Yuvraj said that the team has finally found its number four batsman and that they should groom him properly. He tweeted as, “I think finally we have found our no 4 batsman for the future ! Let’s groom him properly yeah ! @RishabPant777”
