THROWBACK: When BTS members surprised their maknae Jungkook at his graduation ceremony
We are looking back at May 2017, when the older BTS members proudly attended Jungkook's school graduation ceremony and treated him to meal and drinks.
Bangtan's Jungkook isn't just a talented vocalist, dancer and performer, but a multi-tasker! When most of us were lazing around, whiling away precious time watching TV, Jungkook was hustling his way through life. Jungkook debuted with BTS at the tender age of 15 years old. He juggled school along with his dance practices, and by the time Jungkook graduated from school, BTS was at the precipice of attaining global stardom.
Jungkook graduated from SOPA or Seoul's School of Performing Arts. His former classmates and teachers have said in various interviews that Jungkook was a shy and introverted person, who barely interacted with others. It is also said that Jungkook was humble and grounded, despite Bangtan's raging popularity. Members Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, Jimin and Taehyung surprised Jungkook at his graduation ceremony. Jungkook's parents were in attendance too.
Jungkook was so stoked about his hyungs attending his graduation ceremony, that his bunny smile never left his face. Taehyung got his friend a lovely bunch of flowers to congratulate him too. BTS members were proud to see their beloved maknae all grown up, as they proudly posed for pictures with him. BTS members had previously attended his middle school ceremony too. Suga clicked sweet pictures of him and Namjoon encouraged him to talk to his friends, but Jungkook had eyes only for his hyungs. They went to a quaint Korean restaurant for a nice meal.
Years later at Jungkook's high-school ceremony, BTS recreated the same memories again. Post the ceremony Jungkook went out to enjoy a delicious Korean meal of jjajangmyeon and drinks. Jungkook paid for the meal as a treat for his hyungs. In the end, they clicked a picture together, the same way as they did back then. Sweet, isn't it!
