THROWBACK: When BLACKPINK's Rosé confessed that she'd never even imagined herself living apart from her family
We are looking back at October 2020 when BLACKPINK member Rosé made some emotional confessions on BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky.
Happy Birthday, Rosé! The girl with the golden voice was born in Auckland New Zealand, today, 24 years ago! The vocalist moved to Korea at the tender age of 16, to pursue her career as a K-pop star and, eventually become a member of BLACKPINK. On October 14, Netflix dropped their first-ever K-Pop music documentary, BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky, documenting the quartet's meteoric rise to global stardom. Light Up The Sky, gave BLINKS a glimpse of the girls' lives and their innermost thoughts and feelings. BLINKS were made privy to a rather emotional admission from Rosé.
The songstress tearfully confessed that she'd never even imagined herself living apart from her family. There is a glimpse of a fetus Rosé playing the piano too, and then her beautiful face glistens with tears, as she smiles and says, "I'm going to cry." For the uninitiated, Rosé used to live with her parents and older sister, Alice Park, a lawyer and an insta-famous figure. The otherwise shy singer also revealed her intense passion for music, as she was seeing playing her guitar and singing to herself. It is 'stress-relieving,' she confessed.
She has then admitted that she wasn't ready to release her solo music as she is a bit of a 'perfectionist'. Who would have known then, that a couple of months later, she would be releasing her English debut single, Gone, on BLACKPINK: THE SHOW, for BLINKS all around the world to watch? Also, according to a report by Sports Chosun via Koreaboo, she is prepping for the release of her solo debut album in March. Rosé is coming!
