THROWBACK: When BIGBANG's G Dragon collaborated with BLACKPINK's Jennie on Black
We are looking back at October 2013, when BIGBANG's leader G-Dragon collaborated with YG trainee Jennie for his song Black.
K-pop fans and netizens are still frenzied over the sudden disclosure of BIGBANG's G-Dragon and BLACKPINK member Jennie's dating news. The dating news was revealed by Dispatch Korea, earlier today, which has been a major shock to fans worldwide. While some are supportive of the pairing, the others aren't too pleased with the seven-year age gap. BLINKS are demanding more privacy for Jennie, while some have made peace with it. Personal lives aside, it cannot be denied that G-Dragon and Jennie are extremely talented artists with fierce personalities.
The two artists have quite a few factors in common, besides being YG Entertainment's prominent faces and skilled rappers, both the artists make music that is very personal and intimate to them. For the uninitiated, G-Dragon and Jennie once collaborated on a special track, eight years ago. The track in question is Black, one of the B-side tracks of G-Dragon's solo album COUP D'ETAT. Black is a Hip-Hop & rap track, written and composed by G- Dragon and Teddy Park. The song features the pre-debut Jennie and American singer-songwriter Sky Ferreira. The track explores the concepts of love, relationships and breakups and how everything turns black, once things go south.

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment hasn't confirmed nor denied the dating news and has requested fans and the media to maintain peace. YG Entertainment, Jennie and G-Dragon's agency commented, “We can not confirm anything about our artists’ personal lives. We ask for your understanding.”
