THROWBACK: When Ariana Grande GUSHED about meeting BTS; Called them ‘the most incredible’
We are looking back at January 2020 when Ariana Grande gushed meeting about BTS ahead of the Grammys last year.
We are looking back at January 2020 when American pop icon Ariana Grande gushed about Korean band BTS. In the lead-up to the Grammys in 2020, Grande shared a photo with the band via social media post meeting them at Grammy rehearsal. That’s not all, back in January, a fan even shared a clip on Twitter of an interview with BTS from the Grammys red carpet, in which BTS leader RM was detailing how the group’s experience was meeting the American pop star.
“She’s the one right now,” he said, adding that the Thank U Next singer was practising just next to their studio and asked them if she could see them rehearse too, just to check out how they were doing. He joked that after they showed her, “she was spitting some bad words.” He also shared that they saw her rehearse for her performance that night as well, and he described it as “the greatest” and “amazing.”
As soon as the fan’s tweet went live, the pop star herself took to Twitter and replied saying: “honestly…… i was able to watch them rehearse for something and it was the most incredible thing i’ve ever seen. i’m not kidding. i was screaming. i couldn’t stop talking about it / still can’t.”
If you missed it, just earlier this week, an international survey was conducted to gauge the popularity of Korean content - music and drama - in the overseas market. As reported by Soompi, South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Foundation for International Culture Exchange released 2021 Overseas Hallyu (Korean Wave) Survey to reveal the popular K-pop stars, K-drama actors, Korean movies and Korean shows that have left audiences outside the country talking. The list featured BTS, Lee Min Ho, Hyun Bin, Song Hye Kyo, Crashing Landing On You and more!
