Valmiki: Pooja Hegde has charged THIS amount for the remake of Tamil blockbuster starring Varun Tej?
Pooja Hegde will be seen playing an important role in the remake of Tamil film Jigarthanda, which also stars Varun Tej and Atharvaa in lead roles
The gorgeous Pooja Hegde is one of the most popular faces in Hindi and South film industries. The former beauty pageant contestant, who was crowned as the second runner-up at the Miss Universe India 2010 competition, made her acting debut with filmmaker Mysskin's Tamil superhero film Mugamoodi in 2012. She won many hearts with her character Shakthi Gaurav and went on to work in hit films like Oka Laila Kosam and Mukunda, before making her debut in Bollywood with Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro.
Currently, the actress is gearing up for her next release titled Valmiki, which is the official remake of Tamil blockbuster film Jigarthanda. The gangster comedy, directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Ramu Achanta and Gopinath Achanta, also stars actors Varun Tej and Atharvaa Murali in lead roles. A while back, there were rumours that Pooja has walked out of the project. However, director Harish took to his social media handle to confirm that the actress is still very much a part of the film.
Now, according to new reports, the Maharshi actress has asked for a hefty pay-check of approximately Rs. 1.5 crore to feature in the film. The makers too have agreed to the demand as they feel Pooja’s popularity and large fan base will be an advantage for the film.
Meanwhile, Pooja is also shooting for her upcoming Hindi film, Housefull 4, alongside Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Bobby Deol.
