Thalaivar 168: Meena to play female lead in Rajinikanth starrer? Find Out

In what comes as a super exciting news, it has been confirmed that superstar Rajinikanth’s next film tentatively titled Thalaivar 168, will have Meena as the female lead. Sun Pictures tweeted a video of the actor making the announcement. It can be said that the director is deeply involved in the film as he has been involved in the pre-production for the past two months. Produced by Sun Pictures, the rural entertainer is being directed by Siruthai Siva. It can be said that his fans are super pumped to see Meena romancing Rajinikanth on-screen after about two decades.

Earlier, it was confirmed that actor Prakash Raj and Keerthy Suresh are also roped in to play pivotal roles in the film. While Meena is rumoured to play superstar’s wife, Keerthy Suresh might play Rajinikanth’s daughter. However, there has been no official confirmation on the roles that the actors might be playing. The production house has also confirmed Soori in their cast list. In a video tweeted by Sun pictures, Soori can be seen confirming his role in the film.

Coming back to Meena’s role in Thalaivar 168, the duo has shared screen space in many films and their onscreen chemistry has never failed to impress their fans. It is being said that the shooting of Thalaivar 168 will go on floors in the third week of December. D Imman has begun composing music for the film. This will be Meena’s first collaboration with Sun Pictures and Siruthai Siva.
