Thalaivar 168: Khushbu releases a special video on acting with Rajinikanth after 28 years

Just recently, Sun Pictures announced that Khushbu would be joining hands with Rajinikanth after 28 years and play a pivotal role in Thalaivar 168, which is being helmed by Siruthai Siva. Thalaivar 168 is touted to be set against a rural background. Meanwhile, the makers had already made it official that Keerthy Suresh and Meena are also on the anvil as far as the leading ladies of the film are concerned.

Sun Pictures released a video in which an excited Khushbu was heard about working with Superstar after a long time. She said, “It's been 28 years since we last joined hands. People have seen us in many films and loved our pairing. I haven't made any significant appearances in the last eight-nine years and was waiting for a good opportunity like this. That was when Sun Pictures and Siruthai Siva came with the offer. It's a different character. Once, the movie releases, hope once again people would accept our combo.”

Actor Soori and Prakash Raj are also onboard for this Rajinikanth starrer. Both Khushbu and Meena have romanced with Rajinikanth on-screen and it goes without saying that they both have never failed to create magical chemistry with Rajinikanth. While Kushboo has shared screen space with the superstar in super-hit films like Mannan, Annamalai and Pandiyan, Meena had romanced Rajinikanth in Muthu, Veera, Ejaman. Thalaivar 168 has music by D Imman and is slated to release in 2020. Shooting is expected to kickstart soon.
