Last seen in Thaanaa Serndha Koottam (TSK), Suriya is back in action with the upcoming film, NGK. After a year and a half, Suriya is back and fans can't wait to know what's in the store. The trailer of the film received an immense response and has set huge expectations among the audience. The political drama, NGK (Nanda Gopal Krishna) will see him playing the role of a young man who is dragged into politics. The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi in female leads. Ahead of the film's release, Suriya interacted with media in Hyderabad. The dashing star during the interview spoke about taking risks, stardom and much more.
Suriya was asked about if his stardom restricts him from doing different roles and trying hands on something different as fans always have high expectations. Reacting to this, he said, "I don’t want to get into that zone. That’s the reason why I wanted to produce films, and production is an extension of the kind of films which I want to do and be associated with. I don’t want people to think that I can only do a certain kind of films. I have always said this and I’ll say it again - I’m Saravanan. It’s the name given to me by my parents. And I’m Suriya on screen. Suriya is a brand for me, and Saravanan works for Suriya. It’s how I see myself."
Talking about director Selvaraghavan's working style, Suriya said, "Every director’s craft is different. It’s all about going and surrendering yourself, and wanting to do better."
Yuvan Shankar Raja's spell-binding music is something that we are looking forward to in the film. Sivakumar Vijayan has cranked the camera. The film is releasing on May 31, this Friday.
