Superstar Rajinikanth is busy with the shooting of his upcoming film Darbar. The actor was recently in Mumbai for the film's shoot. The pictures of him shooting on the streets of Mumbai along with lead actress Nayanthara went viral on social media. However, Rajinikanth put the shooting of the film on hold and rushed to Bengaluru to visit his ailing brother at the hospital. Rajinikanth visited his brother Sathyanarayana Rao Gaikwad at a private hospital in Bengaluru. 

The superstar's brother recently underwent a ‘bilateral knee replacement’ surgery. Rajinikanth made sure to be his brother's side and even met doctors post the surgery. Reportedly, the Petta actor has returned to Mumbai to resume the shooting of Darbar. It is one of the much-awaited films being directed by AR Murugadoss. In the film, Rajinikanth will be seen playing the role of a cop and fans can't wait to catch another powerful performance of their favourite superstar on the big screen.

'Darbar' is produced by Allirajah Subaskaran and it also features Suniel Shetty, Nivetha Thomas, Prateik Babbar, Jatin Sarna, Nawab Shah, Dalip Tahil, Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiya and Sriman in pivotal parts.  The film is slated to release in January 2020.
