Soorarai Pottru actor Suriya is expected to sign a film with one of the directors from Bala, Gautham Menon, Vetrimaaran and Hari. Now, as per the latest reports on the actor Suriya who recently featured in the film titled Kaappaan helmed by director KV Anand is keen to work with one of the directors named above. The film Kaappaan saw the south megastar essay the role of an undercover officer who is assigned the task of the Prime Minister's security. The Malayalam superstar Mohanlal essayed the role of the country's Prime Minister in this action thriller.

Now, the south megastar Suriya has finished shooting for a film titled Soorarai Pottru which is helmed by director directed by Sudha Kongara. The director is known for her films like Drohi and Irudhi Suttru. The film Irudhi Suttru was made in two versions namely Tamil and Hindi. If the Thaanaa Serndha Koottam actor Suriya decided to work with director Bala, it will mark the duo's collaboration after a long gap of 16 years. Suriya was also meant to work with Viswasam director Siruthai Siva. But now as per the latest reports, Siruthai Siva will be collaborating with superstar Rajinikanth.

The film starring Suriya and director by Siruthai Siva will now be postponed until next year. It was previously reported that Gautham Menon could sign the Sillunu Oru Kaadhal actor Suriya for his upcoming film. This venture helmed by Gautham Menon with Ayan actor Suriya in the lead will be backed by Lyca Productions.
