Shruti Haasan in a recent interview to Deccan Chronicle talked about her equation with dad Kamal Haasan. She said, "My father has very kindly let me be myself. He told me once if I really wanted to act, then I should be able to do it well if I love my job. He believed that no third person can breathe soul into a character other than the actor who has been assigned to play the role. So whether right or wrong, I can reconcile with my decisions."
Apart from SP Jananathan's film, Shruti Haasan also has a Bollywood film with Mahesh Manjrekar opposite Vidyut Jammwal.
