Shruti Haasan made an indelible mark with her work down south as well as in Hindi films. And now, the actress is all set to make her big American television debut. The actress recently bagged her first international series and its nothing less than a proud moment. Shruti Haasan recently wrapped up shooting for a film and the actress will soon be sent to Budapest to prep for the show. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actress will feature in a Bourne-series spin-off titled Treadstone. The action drama series will see Shruti in a new light as a trained assassin. 

Shruti will be essaying the role of Nira Patel in the show. Her job as a waitress in the show will serve as a cover up for her assassin role. Speaking about how she landed the show, Shruti said, "When I started music in England, there was a lot of interest in me as an Indian actress, so I got an agent in the US and the UK. When I received an audition script from the show’s makers, I found it very interesting. I start shooting soon. My portions will be based in India and abroad. I have never done something like this before."

The actress also added that she will be undergoing rigorous training her role in Treadstone. Shruti revealed that she is looking forward to visiting Budapest as it has been on her must-see list.
