Selvaraghavan issues apology after his answer during an interview draws flak; Says he should have been careful
Selvaraghavan stated that he did not understand the question when the anchor asked it, but realised it after his fans pointed out.
Director Selvaraghavan is leaving no stones unturned when it comes to promoting his recently released film Nenjam Marappathillai. While doing so, he is taking up interviews and answering fans’ questions about the film. In one such interview, the director was asked by the anchor if SJ Suryah’s role in the film was inspired by a particular political leader, to which the director agreed. However, later, he was criticized by several fans for answering in such a way.
Today, the critically acclaimed director took to his Twitter space and issued an apology. He wrote, “My dear friends, I did not understand the question when it was asked. Only after it was pointed out to me by my fans, I understood it. I should have been more careful. My apologies”. After he put out the Tweet, his fans came in support of him on the comments section saying that there was no need to apologize.

Meanwhile, Selvaraghavan’s next directorial venture has Dhanush as the lead actor. It was announced by the director that he will be helming the second part of Aayirathil Oruvan with Dhanush as the lead actor. Other than his directorial ventures, Selva has also ventured into acting. He is currently busy with the shooting of Saani Kaayidham, which marks Selva’s acting debut. The film has Keerthy Suresh as the leading lady.
