Sasilalitha: Kajol and Amala Paul to once again read the script?

Kethireddy Jagadishwara Reddy is coming up with a Jayalalithaa biopic titled Sasilalitha. The makers are currently working on a biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. Also, it is known that Kajal and actress Amala Paul will play the roles of Jayalalithaa and Sasikala, respectively. However, the actresses are yet to sign the film. Director Kethireddy recently revealed that he is waiting for Kajol's response to be a part of the film. The makers of the film are eagerly looking forward to having the actress onboard and has planned to narrate the script to them in person. 

Director Kethireddy talked to HT revealed, "We have sent them the script, and are awaiting their response. I am especially looking forward to Kajol’s response, as I have worked with her late father-in-law, Veeru Devgan, in films for Padmalaya Studios. I will once again narrate the script to them in person." The biopic will be released in Kannada and Hindi as well apart from Telugu and Tamil. If things fall in place, Kajol will play the role of J Jayalalithaa and Amala Paul will be seen playing the role of Jaya's close aide Sasikala. If things go as planned, Kethireddy will kick start shooting from August. 

Well, multiple biopics on Jayalalithaa are currently in the making. Vijay directorial Thalaivi, based on the life of Jayalalithaa has Bollywood’s Kangana Ranaut playing the title role and is one of the much-awaited films. For her role in Thalaivi, Kangana is super-dedicated and is learning Tamil to be as perfect as she always is.

Meanwhile, A Priyadarshini, is also working on a biopic titled The Iron Lady, with Nithya Menen playing the main role.
