Sarileru Neekevvaru: Mahesh Babu to play an Army Major & Rashmika Mandanna signed as the female lead for it

Superstar Mahesh Babu is basking in the success of his recent release Maharshi. The film hit the marquee earlier this month and it opened to a massive response. The film entered Rs 100 crore club at the box office in just a week of its release. Directed by Vamshi Paidapally, the film also starred Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh in the lead roles. With the huge success of it, Mahesh Babu has moved over to his next film, which will be directed by Anil Ravipudi. The superstar of Tollywood took to social media and announced the release date. Titled as Sarileru Neekevvaru, the film is slated to release on Sankranti 2020. 

While the news is already out that Rashmika Mandanna will be playing the female lead, the makers of the film are currently interacting with media. Director Anil, Rashmika and others have attended film announcement event today. Talking to media, the director revealed that Mahesh Babu will be playing the role of Army Major officer role. Mahesh Babu had earlier played the role of a cop in Dookudu, Pokkiri and Aagadu. However, this is for the first time we will see him in the role of an army officer. The groundwork for the film is already on and the shooting will go on floors in June.

Rashmika Mandanna will be seen opposite Vijay Deverakonda in their upcoming film Dear Comrade, which is set to release on July 26. The teaser of the film went viral, and now, fans are eagerly looking forward to the film.
