This Independence Day, Kollywood box office will have a touch of Samantha Akkineni. The actress, who was last seen in Super Deluxe in Tamil, will be trying her luck at the box office with Oh Baby this Independence Day. As per reports, Sam's recent Telugu movie will be dubbed and released in Tamil on the occasion. Oh Baby will clash with Jayam Ravi, Kajal Aggarwal, K. S. Ravikumar and Samyuktha Hegde starrer Comali. It would be interesting to see which movie will get an upper hand on the national holiday.

Oh Baby has already tasted success at the box office. The movie has been declared a hit in the Telugu industry. The movie performed well even in overseas. Oh Baby is an official remake of South Korean movie Miss Granny. The remake has been directed by Nandini Reddy. Apart from Samantha, the movie also features Lakshmi, Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh, Naga Shaurya, Urvasi and Jagapathi Babu in prominent roles. The movie is produced by Suresh Productions. Apart from Tamil, the movie could see a Malayalam dubbed version release as well.

While we cannot wait to see Samantha take over the screens with her performance, the actress will soon be seen in Akkineni Nagarjuna starrer Manmadhudu 2. The movie also stars Rakul Preet Singh in the lead. Apart from that, Sam will also feature in the Telugu remake of Tamil film 96. She will star opposite Sharwanand in the movie.
