On the acting front, it was announced recently that Samantha has been roped in to play the leading lady in the epic period drama Shakuntalam. It was revealed by the makers that Samantha will be seen playing the role of the mythical character Shakuntala in the film. Samantha has two more films in her kitty including Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal and Ashwin Sarvanan's untitled flick. Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal has Vijay Sethupathi as the male lead, while Nayanthara will be seen as yet another female lead. The film with Ashwin Saravanan will have Prasanna in a key role and it is expected that more updates regarding the film will be revealed by the makers soon.
