Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor and South fame Prabhas have teamed up for their next project 'Saaho', directed by Telugu filmmaker Sujith. The film also features Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Pandey, Mahesh Manjrekar, Arun Vijay and Murali Sharma. Saaho is scheduled to release on August 15. The film is being shot in three languages, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, simultaneously. Shraddha is making her South debut with this project.
According to the latest reports, 'Saaho's' cinematographer Madhie has revealed that an eight-minute action sequence in the film has cost the filmmakers a huge amount of Rs 70 crore. The action sequence was shot in Abu Dhabi and the cinematography thinks that this film will create history for spending so much on a single scene. The film will showcase Prabhas's character having multi-layered role and for the first time Shraddha Kapoor will be seen playing the role of a cop.
Earlier, Shraddha talked about her role and said, “I am super-excited to play the role of a cop for the first time. It’s such a privilege. The police do so much for the country, it’s an honour for me to represent them." The actress also shared that she always wanted to essay different roles, from a doctor to a cop. “But, definitely, essaying a police officer is a special one because you are representing such an integral part of the security force of our country. It feels awesome to be playing one,” she added.
