RT66: Shruti Haasan to play female lead in Ravi Teja’s next; Shares her excitement with special post

Shruti Haasan, who has been missing from the big screen for almost two years now, has finally announced her next project. The lady has been roped in to play the female lead in the superstar Ravi Teja’s next project. Tentatively titled as RT66, the movie will be helmed by Gopichand Malineni and will feature Ravi in the role of a police inspector. The movie is expected to mark Shruti’s strong comeback on the big screen. She was last seen in Rajkummar Rao’s Behen Hogi Teri in 2017.

And while the diva is excited about the project, she shared her happiness on microblogging site Twitter with a special post. Shruti posted a poster of a three-star police badge with her black and white picture in the centre. The badge also flaunted a hashtag with the name of the movie RT66. Besides, the poster also had a welcome message for the actress with a bullet passing through it. In the caption, she wrote, “Very excited to be a part of this project!! And to be working with @RaviTeja_offl and @megopichand again!!! #RT66”.

To note, Shruti will be collaborating with Ravi after a gap of 6 years. The duo had earlier worked in 2013 release Balupu which was a super hit at the box office. Although not much details have been revealed about the movie, it is reported that RT66 will hit the floors later this year.

Interestingly, RT66 will also play a crucial role in Ravi’s career given the fact that he has been delivering back-to-back flops. As of now, he is pinning his hope on his upcoming release Disco Raja.
