Directed by SS Rajamouli, RRR will hit the big screens on October 13, while Maidan directed by Amit Sharma will be released on October 15.
It is well known by now that pan Indian film RRR and Bollywood film Madiaan are releasing around the same time. Ajay Devgn will be seen in both films. While he is the lead actor in Maidaan, RRR will show him in a key supporting role. Maidaan is set to hit the big screens on October 15, coinciding with the Dussehra holidays, while RRR will be released on October 13. RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, has Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles, while Alia Bhatt will be seen as the leading lady.
The film also stars Ajay Devgan, Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson, and Alison Doody in the supporting roles. Touted to be a historical drama, RRR will narrate the story of freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharamaraju. The makers recently shared a glimpse of the final shooting schedule. On the other hand, Maidaan is directed by Amit Sharma and co-produced by Boney Kapoor. The film is inspired by the Indian national football team coach and manager Syed Abdul Rahim.
Maidaan was initially scheduled to hit the big screens in August this year. However, owing to the pandemic situation, the release got delayed.
