RRR director SS Rajamouli calls Alia Bhatt's performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi impressive; Praises SLB's work
The official teaser of the Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi was recently released. Meanwhile, she will also be seen in SS Rajamouli's RRR.
Alia Bhatt fans were eagerly waiting for the release of the official trailer of Gangubai Kathiawadi. After a long wait, it was finally released on director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday. The actress has received heaps of praises owing to her stint in the movie in which she plays the titular role. Apart from netizens, numerous celebs like Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Ram Charan, and others have praised her performance in the same. SS Rajamouli has also joined the bandwagon here.
The filmmaker has taken to Twitter and praised not only Alia Bhatt but also the film’s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Rajamouli wrote, “Gangubai is as fierce as fierce can get! @aliaa08’s avatar as #GangubaiKathiawadi is very impressive.. :) Looking forward to see #SanjayLeelaBhansali’s magnificent work on the screen.” For the unversed, Alia Bhatt and SS Rajamouli will team up for the upcoming movie RRR. Earlier, her co-star Ram Charan also praised the star’s performance in the movie.

For the uninitiated, Alia Bhatt plays the titular role in Gangubai Kathiawadi and had already created sensation earlier when her first look was revealed. The story revolves around a Mafia queen on Kamathipura and her eventual rise to power. Meanwhile, the actress will be making her debut in the South with SS Rajamouli’s RRR co-starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. She will also feature in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra which has been produced by Karan Johar. As for Gangubai, it will be released on July 30, 2021.
